Good morning and welcome to the wonderful world of Miss Lottchen. I like to look at clothes that fit me well and work out how they’re made, trace around them, stitch ‘em up and somehow they fit better than if I’d fiddled with a pattern. That kind of sewing suits me fine right now, cuts straight to the chase so to speak, and so long as I can get away with it, hey, I’ll just keep going.
I live in Paekakariki and the wallpaper in my sewing room is quite alarming. The beach is at the bottom of the street, and the ice cream shop also sells funky things and stocks the books I make. I buy ice cream with the money I earn. Here’s a cake I made last year…
I hoard buttons, fabric, tea cups, teapots, nice bits of paper. Fortunately they’re all things I use, so no space was wasted in the forming of that sentence.
I have limited success at worm farms, glue guns, hammers and nails, knitting and crochet. Yet somehow those worms are still alive…
The Beach Store have a nice picture of my books, you should have a look. Meanwhile, I should be using flickr more often when I participate in Me-Made-March.
You forgot “babymaking” under skillz!
Love reading your blog, Lotte.
I think this might be the best bio ever. x
